John Yundt Eedy

John Yundt Eedy passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital, Toronto on November 21, 2024.

Married to the late Jean Elnora Eedy (Yeates). Loving father of Michael (Kym) and Laurel (late Zoran) Grozdanovski. Beloved Grandfather to Peter Grozdanovski (Beverly), Nicholas Eedy, Cameron Eedy, Kristen Grozdanovski (Jonathan Szabo), Colin Eedy (Jenn) and Michelle Grozdanovski. Great Grandpa (GG) to Gabriella, Lincoln and Ben Grozdanovski, Grayson Eedy, Beckett Eedy Scrivens, Hallie and Hugh Szabo and Ozzy Eedy.

John was born in Dungannon, Ontario near Goderich to the late Laura (Yundt) and Heber Eedy on June 13, 1931. He is predeceased by his brothers and sister - Thornton, Lucille (Ralph) Henderson, Irvine (Colleen), Ross (Isabelle) and Frank. Survived by sister-in laws Beth Eedy and Shirley Yeates. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

John spent most of his career teaching high school science in Strathroy before retiring to Toronto. There he took up botanical watercolour painting and stained glass making while continuing his love for travel, music and theatre. Always smiling when he spent time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Per John’s wishes, there will be no funeral service at this time. Cremation has occurred. Interment at Dungannon Cemetery will be scheduled for a later date.
