John "David" Ostler

John David Ostler passed away Saturday November 24th, 2012 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 69, with his family by his side. A true family man, David will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Dianne of Brampton, ON and three adoring daughters: Maggie of Lunenburg, NS, Julie (Mike) of Hamilton, ON and Holly (Andy) of Vancouver, BC, as well as brother-in-law Frank Putman of Rockwood, ON and many other family members, friends, neighbours and colleagues. David is predeceased by his sister Ann Putman.

Called to the bar in 1975, David spent the first 12 years of his career as a lawyer at the firm of Davis Webb in Brampton. In 1987, he became the Town Solicitor at the Town of Caledon, where he served for 23 years before retiring in 2010.

Funeral and visitation will take place at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church at 3 Cathedral Road, Brampton. Visitation is Friday November 30th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm, as well as Saturday December 1st from 1pm to 2pm. Funeral is Saturday December 1st at 2pm.
