It is with great sadness that we announce that passing of John Cattanach on January 12, 2011 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Elizabeth for 61 years, loving father of Beth (Jack Genuino), and cherished grandfather of Brandon, John, and Jason. John was predeceased by his precious daughter Lorraine (1972). John was born in Scotland and was called to serve in WWII when he
was 17. John and Elizabeth were married in 1950 and two of them came to Canada in 1952.
Upon coming to Ontario he found work with the Gulf Oil Company; where he worked for 30 years
until his retirement. John was an easy-going and likeable man and he will be greatly missed. A
Memorial Service will be held at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville, on
Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.
