Passed away peacefully at Maple Health Centre, surrounded by his loving family on August 27, 2009, at the age of 81. Devoted husband of Loretta of 57 years. Proud father of Gerry (Karen), Mary Ann (Gary Clarke), Michelle (Joe Mejaski) and Andrew (Tracey). Cherished Grandpa of Jeremy, Kelly, Matthew, Christopher, Katie, Joshua, Nicholas, Jonathan, Jesse, Jessica, Jordan, Patrick, Daniel, Jacob and Laura. Survived by his loving brother Jim (Monique). John's family wishes to extend their gratitude to all his friends and caregivers at Maple Health Centre. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Drive), 905-851-9100, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday August 31, 2009 at St. David's Church, 2601 Major Mackenzie Dr., Maple at 10:30 a.m. Burial to followed at Holy Cross Cemetery.
