It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Gail Miller, aged 58, on March 21 2021, following a battle with cancer. Joanne will be lovingly remembered by her husband Steve Mizzi, mother Joyce Miller, sisters Julie Miller (George) and Brenda Hickman (Charles). She will be missed by her nephew Jayden and niece Alison. She is predeceased by her father, Douglas Miller.

Joanne grew up in Rexdale Ontario and went on to pursue a career as a valued medical secretary. She was an excellent cook, possessed an enviable green thumb, and adored her dogs. Joanne was generous of spirit, resilient in facing challenges, and loving to family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Donations are welcomed in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the SPCA.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Village of Humber Heights LTC and Humber River Hospital for their care and compassion.

Respecting the current conditions and pandemic restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
