SHANER, Joan Elizabeth - Mary and George are saddened to announce the passing of a dear friend, Joan Shaner, at Brampton Civic Hospital on September 3, 2009 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Norvel Shaner. Joan had so many friends who gave her so much happiness during her years in Brampton. She was an active member of Christ Church Anglican, and her faith gave her a lot of strength. She was a resident for the last 4 years at Woodhall Specialty Care and will be sadly missed. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (52 Main St. S., Brampton) on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Christ Church Anglican, Brampton on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
