Joan Jackson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Joan Jackson, who passed away, at the age of 92, on September 2, 2024 at Royal Rose long term care facility in Welland, Ontario. Beloved wife of her late husband, Ted and loving mother of Kenneth (deceased) and Robert (Barbara) and Ross (Elsa).

Born in England during the Great Depression, and surviving World War II in her formative years, Joan married Ted in 1952, and emigrated to Canada where they made a successful life together for over 60 years. Joan was a devoted and supportive wife and caring, patient, and loving mother to her 3 boys. Joan enjoyed playing bridge for over 50 years with a group of women in her community where she made life-long friendships. She travelled extensively with Ted throughout their lives, and they both loved to return to England to visit their families. Most of all, Joan enjoyed being with family, especially at Christmas and holidays. She will be greatly missed by her surviving family and friends.
