Jill Arliss

ARLISS, Jill. Peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at home in her 87th year, after a long illness. Beloved wife of Kenneth for 63 years. Loving mother of Sarah. Sister to her dear brother Robin (Barbara), of Goudhurst, Kent, and aunt to Lina, Robert, Charles, Nicholas and the late Benjamin, grandnieces/nephews, including Chris. Predeceased by her sister Thelma. Thanks to the CCAC for their wonderful care, with special thanks to Obi, Jo and Margot. As well, the kindness and support of her neighbours and friends, without whom we would have been lost. In the 1940s Jill won a scholarship and completed her fine arts training at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, which was at that time evacuated to the Ruskin School, Oxford. In 1952, Jill and Kenneth immigrated to Canada, a gloriously beautiful country full of peace, hope and opportunity. A private service and cremation has taken place.
