In the early hours of December 19th surrounded by his loving family, Jeff passed peacefully after a long battle with cancer. Jeff (Fuffy, Pops, Pylon) is survived by his loving wife Sylvia and brother Shawn (Deborah). Jeff was an amazing father to his children; Michelle, Lisa (Greg), Leona, Lorne (Robin) and Lenora (Irv). Jeff was a devoted and loving grandfather to Monique (Eric), Derek (Kyela), Victoria, Stephanie, Zachary, Kayla, Felisha, Maya, Emily, Nathan, Justine, Aiden; and great-grandfather to Braeden, Aaliyah, Ayla, Stephen, Mylaya, Charlotte, Kayden and Avery. Jeff is lovingly remembered by Karen, Jonathan and many other nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered are Helen and George Parker.
Jeff shared his deep love of fishing with his children and grandchildren (or anyone willing to partake). Some of his favorite moments were spent with a line in the water, and battling a big muskie. Anyone who knew him, knew his passion for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Win or lose, he always cheered them on – blue hair and all! Gifted with his hands, Jeff spent his career as a skilled welder and fabricator; always with a home project on the go – not always finished, but on the go.
The family would like to thank the caring and supportive staff at Humber River Memorial Hospital, Jeff’s caregivers Wilfred, Diane, Linda and especially Ben for their tireless efforts.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or Daily Bread Food Bank.
Family will welcome visitors between 2-3pm. Services for Jeff will be held at 3pm. A celebration of life will follow at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 31, 1050 Weston Road – upstairs, from 5pm-7pm.
Sylvia loves you more than life itself.
