It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean-Guy Mongrain, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, partner, brother, and friend, having left us on July 15, 2024, at the age of 69. He leaves behind his partner, Margaret Solomon, his children, Nancy, Michael (Maryjane), and Joel (Jayne), his stepdaughters Suzette (Dean) and Tabitha, 11 grandchildren, Cassie, Kylee, Brady, Mikey, Phil, Amelia, Maven, Aerian, Adrianna, Liam, and Rex, and great-grandaughter Wynter. He also had many cousins, siblings, in-laws, nephews and nieces, and friends. 

Jean-Guy loved camping and staying at the cottage, and attending.his family reunion every year. He could most often be found puttering around outdoors, with music playing on the radio, and a beer in hand. He was devoted to his family, nothing mattered to him more than seeing us all happy. Everyone who knew him loved and respected him.

Jean-Guy was predeceased by his parents, Louison and Adriana, his brother Michel, and sisters Pierette and Claudette. 

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home - Brampton Chapel on Tuesday August 6 from 12:30 p.m. until a time of service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
