SMITH, James - Peacefully, at Brampton Civic Hospital on March 26, 2010 on the eve of his 99th birthday, to be reunited with Florence, his loving wife of 62 years. Beloved father of Peter (Mary Jo), Marcia (Don Gregg), Catherine (Allen Resnick) and Paul (Betty Roberts). Proud Grandfather of Jennifer, Rachelle, Kathryn, Suzanne, Bernadette, James and George. Great-Grandpa to Rachel, Daniel, Roxanne and Dean. Retired C.N.R. Conductor, founder of Credit Unions, active member of Knightsbridge Seniors Club and Choir. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 52 Main Street South (Highway 10), Brampton on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 940 North Park Drive, Brampton.
