James "Jim" Norman McLeod

It is with heart felt sorrow that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Norman McLeod. Jim passed away peacefully at St. Michaels Hospital. Jim is Survived by his wife Margaret Patricia McLeod (Nee O’Brien). Jim was the Father of 4 Children, Michele, Scott, Jimmy, and Brian. He was the Grandfather of Trevor, Bradley, Amanda, Sara and Liam. Great Grandfather to Adyra.

Jim was born in Belleville, Ontario where he met his lifelong sweetheart Margaret. They were married in 1957 and just celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary. In 1963 They moved to Brampton where he spent the rest of his years. Jim worked at Northern Electric (Telecom) where he retired.

Jim was very active in the Brampton Sporting Community coaching both rep hockey and house league hockey in both Brampton and Chinguacousy. Jim also coached lacrosse in the City for a number of years. He received a Long Term Service Award from The City of Brampton for his years of volunteering.

Visitation will be held Monday April 22, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Tuesday April 23, 2024 from 10:00-11:00am at the Ward Funeral Home in Brampton located at 52 Main St S (Hwy 10), Brampton. A Funeral Service will follow immediately afterwards beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Donations in lieu of flowers would be appreciated to St Michael’s Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
