Anderson, James (Jim)
His family are saddened to announce the passing of James (Jim) Anderson, on May 27th 2021, in his 91st year. He is mourned by Judith, his loving wife of 61 years, and will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, Sara (Phil), Katherine (Eric), Susan (Alain) and Heather, and grandsons Elliot and Collin. Born in Northern Ireland, he emigrated to Canada to join Northern Electric in Montreal. When he and his wife and baby daughter moved to Brampton, the wish to create a garden for his family’s enjoyment became a major theme in his life. Growing beautiful roses and entering them in rose and garden shows led to his becoming a rose judge and then teaching others to become rose judges in Canada and abroad. He was an active member of the Brampton Horticultural Society, the Ontario Horticultural Society and the Canadian Rose Society. A gathering to remember Jim’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make a donation to their favourite charity in remembrance of Jim. Arrangements are entrusted to Ward Funeral Home Brampton.
