James George Clarke of Brampton, Ontario passed away at Brampton Civic Hospital on March 22, 2025, at 91 years of age after succumbing to complications from a severe stroke.

George was born and raised in Bailieborough, Ireland, a small town outside of Dublin, where he lived in a very small house with 8 siblings. He moved to Ontario to build a new life and there he met and married his soul-mate Vera. Together they welcomed a daughter and a son. George prioritized his loved one’s well-being as a loving husband, and father, a brother, proud grandfather and friend.

He worked tirelessly at Pre-Con in Brampton for 40 years where he provided architectural and structural precast concrete solutions to many building projects. He was admired as a leader because of his ability to foster relationships with people of all backgrounds and abilities. He had the skill and ability to repair and fix anything. He passed these amazing qualities along to his own two children, Heather and Ross, and even to his grandchildren, Ryan, Natasha, Daniel and Monica.

He could always be found helping his wife Vera with every adventure including cooking, cleaning, and just a simple walk or drive in the country. George met everyone with a smile and the most positive attitude you would ever find. He was truly a role model, encouraging, and could always calm any storm. A delight to every conversation, George never lost his charming Irish lilt, even after so many years away from the Emerald Isle.

Predeceased by his parents James and Annie Clarke, George’s memory will be cherished by his wife Vera, daughter Heather (Roger, deceased), son Ross (Diana) and grandchildren Natasha, Monica, Ryan and Daniel as well as many family and friends. He is survived by his brother Richard (Kim) and Bertie (Hazel). George will be immensely missed by all his family and friends, and he will never be forgotten.

The Funeral Service will be held at Ward Funeral Home Brampton Chapel 52 Main Street South on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, at 11:00 am.
