Jack McIlvenny passed away peacefully at Post Inn Village on November 12, 2015 in his 91st year. He is survived by his loving wife Sadie with whom he shared sixty eight years of marriage and will be greatly missed by his son Larry and his wife Maureen and his son Bruce and his wife Susan. Beloved grandfather to Christopher, Jessica, Brandi, Jordan, Tom and Dylan. Great Grandfather to Cynthia, Aydan, Riley, Addison and Jonathan. He was a dear uncle to several nieces and nephews. Jack is predeceased by his brother Maurice (Moe) and parents Jack and Dorothy. Jack was a decorated WWII Veteran with the Canadian 1st Parachute Battalion. Following his service, he began his career as a firefighter rising to the rank of Captain and retired from the Toronto Fire Department where he served his community for over 39 years. Jack was a lifelong fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs and will be dearly missed by all friends and family. Happy hour will never be the same.
