BUTTON, Jack G. (John)
Retired Captain Etobicoke Fire Department
Passed away peacefully on Monday May 19, 2014.
Jack will be missed by his wife of 61 years Margaret, and by
his beloved daughters and their husbands Carol and Paul Tuma and Nancy and James Hobart. Jack will be greatly missed by his brother Joe and Joan Button and by longtime and best-friends Ernie and Betty Burns.
He will be remembered by his many friends in our apartment building, the Etobicoke Fire Department, and Plant City Florida.
Jack was a firefighter with the Etobicoke Fire Department for 32 years, retiring his career as Captain on the Rescue Truck.
Retired for 27 years, he wintered for 25 years in Plant City Florida where he volunteered at the Strawberry Festival and the Park Road Tourist Information Centre. Thank You to the dedicated nurses and staff at the Toronto Western Hospital – I.C.U. 2nd Floor and Floor 5A for their care and compassion.

At Jack’s request no visitation or service will be held. Cremation with a private burial at a later date.
