Ivy E. Colton

nee Sherren

December 13, 1922 - February 5, 2025

Ivy Elizabeth Colton died peacefully at the age of 102, with her much-loved family by her side.

Born in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, Ivy was the dear daughter of the late Elizabeth “Elsie” and the late George Sherren.

She was the loving wife of the late Peter Ross Colton, and mother of three daughters; Janet (deceased), Jean and Cathie who cherished her as much as she cherished them.

Predeceased by her brother, The Reverand Douglas Sherren, sisters Thelma and Helen.

She is survived by her brother William “Bill”

Ivy was the loving Grama of seven grandchildren Valeria (Melvin), Neil (Nicole), Robyn (Rob), Dion (Louise), Colleen, Bradley (Lesley) and Jade. She was the beloved “Great One” to 13 great grandkids: Manny, Francesca, Damian, Cameron, Lauren, Brooke, Audrey, Ryleigh, Chloe, Kate, Emma, Hunter, and Verona. A caring step Grama to Tara and Scott, and step great Grama to Charlie.

She was a loving Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Ivy lived her life to the fullest, blessed with a loving family. Family was the most important thing to her, and she kept in touch with loved ones both near and far.

In lieu of flowers, Ivy wished to be remembered through kind words, good deeds or through a charitable donation.

She will be forever missed, loved, and never forgotten.
