Irene Eason

Irene Eason, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024, at the age of 109. Born on April 27, 1915, Irene lived a remarkable life filled with love, resilience, and unwavering spirit.

Survived by her only daughter, Rosalyn, and her three grandchildren, Jill (John), Adam (Justine), and Lauren; as well as her great-grandchildren, Ava, Evelyn, Stella, and Ellis. Irene was predeceased by her brother Amedee and sister Edna whom she loved dearly.

A celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Ward’s Funeral Home Weston Chapel (2035 Weston Road, Toronto) at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation the hour prior. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life.

Irene will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Villa Colombo who took such incredible care of Irene throughout the final years of her life.
