Ingeborg Christa Fischer Schoen
September 13,1929- June 2, 2017

On Friday, June 2, 2017 at 1:00p.m. Mom died peacefully at William Osler Health Centre, Brampton. She is predeceased by her husband, George and survived by her daughters Martina (Harry) and Angela, her beloved grandchildren Cora, Aaron, Noah, Joshua, Elijah and Neha. Mom was strong and fiercely independent. She battled and fought courageously against Schizophrenia her entire life. Sadly, it stayed with her to the end. Beneath the surface was an intelligent, gifted, creative, fun woman, mother, and grandmother. She loved intelligent conversation. She always said, “An intelligent mind is never bored”. She could knit and sew without a pattern, cook and bake without a recipe. She loved nature and long walks. Mom is a survivor. She fought hard to stay alive and keep going, we learned to be resilient and strong. We learned to be careful with our health, look after ourselves, have few possessions and be free. Mom strived for freedom in her own life.
We pray that mom is free and at peace now.
Cremation has already taken place.
