Always loved, Never forgotten, Forever Missed …

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Idalecio Antonio Sousa on July 4, 2023, at 73 years old.

Idalecio is now reunited in heaven with his dear parents João and Deolinda. A loving husband and proud father, he loved his family whole heartly. He was the loving husband of Isabel, and cherished father to Christine (Almeida), Karen (Michael), and Darlene (Sam). A proud Avô to Perry, Tiffany, Tyler, Kiara, Ava, Daniella and Julia, and great-grandfather to Amari. Idalecio also leaves behind his sister Manuela, who he loved dearly.

He will always be remembered for the remarkable man he was, and will forever be missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the medical staff at the William Osler Brampton Civic hospital. We are grateful for the care and compassion shown to Idalecio.

Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South, Brampton, on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00am at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, 115 Vodden Street East, Brampton, on Monday, July 10, 2023. Interment will follow at Brampton Cemetery.
