It is with heavy hearts, to announce that our beloved, Ian Washington Vernon passed away. Ian, transition to glory on January 15th at the age of 48.
Ian was born in Toronto, Ontario to the union of Norman and Venita Vernon. He was the only child from this union.

He completed his primary and secondary schooling in Toronto, On. After completing secondary school, Ian received a scholarship to attend Berkele College of Music in Boston Massachusetts.

At a very very young age, Ian had a complete love and passion for music. He skillfully played and mastered several instruments, but his ultimate love was the bass guitar. Throughout his musical journey, Ian won numerous awards as a bassist. Two notable national awards Ian received as a bass player, are The Bell Canada Jazz instrumentalist Award, and The Yamaha National All-star Jazz Band.

Ian worked many secular occupations, but his primary occupation and career was musical director for Norwegian Cruise Line for 13 years.

Ian accepted the Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at an early age. He was ordained as a minister of the gospel in his early twenties. He ministered to many who were lost, sick and, depressed. Ian's primary ministry was healing.

Ian Vernon will be sadly missed, but always remembered by his beloved wife Latesha; sons: Isaiah and Deondre; father Norman; as well as aunts and uncles, and a host of family and friends.
