Howard William Berry, age 77, died surrounded by his family on Monday, August 14th 2017 in West Oak Village Long Term Care Home in Oakville, Ontario.
Howard is survived by his wife Christine, his 3 children Kim, David and Michelle, his son in laws Rodney and David, daughter in law Kira, his 7 grandchildren and great grand daughter.
Born on March 14th, 1940 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, he moved to Ontario in 1959 and eventually settled in Oakville in 1978.
In 1973 he started a business partnership, Gurvey & Berry Inc. which was Howard’s passion until his retirement.
He was a member of various groups including the the Companions of the Quaich, the British Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Trade, Toronto Thunderers, and the Honourable Company of Freemen of the City of London. He was a former member and president of the Rotary Club of Oakville.
Howard will be remembered for his love of life and enthusiasm for travel, good wine, single malt whisky, fine food, British cars and cottage holidays.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 30th at 1pm at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville followed by a reception.
