Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Predeceased by his beloved wife Florence, and older siblings Barney, Jimmy, Mary and Anna. Henry will be sadly missed by son Michael (Jin Kyung) and daughter Betty-Lou, sister Alice (Herb) Sakaguchi, sister Nora (Nick) Kaji, sister-in-law Setty Aihoshi, sister-in-law Sue Yamashita, and sister-in-law Terry (George) Nakamura. Henry will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Henry will be fondly remembered for his love of sports and love of entertaining, Friends and family were always welcome at their home in Brampton where guests would enjoy good food, lots of laughs and more than a few snappy cocktails.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, (52 Main St. S, Brampton) on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 9am to 11am with the Celebration of Life service to follow at 11am. Interment of Cremated Remains to follow at Meadowvale Cemetery.
Henry’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Stephen Reingold and staff at the Oncology Department in the Brampton Civic Hospital for their skilled and compassionate care during Henry’s long battle with cancer. A special thanks also to Charmaine Scarlett and the home care team at Central West Healthline who helped Henry maintain his independence and live at home.
