Henk Luimes

Jan Hendrik (Henk) Luimes passed away peacefully on August 22, 2015 after having endured Alzheimer’s disease for many years. Loving husband of Femmy (nee VanDorsten) for 64 years. Loved and respected by his children, Henry (Lori), Winn (Don), Marg (Steve), John (Julie) and Ann (Steve). Playful and cherished Grandpa of Courtney (Andrew), Britney (Sean), Lindsey, Jonathan (Jen), Daniel (Catherine), Rebekah, Kim, Marc, Jackie (Andy), Katie, Nikki, Stephanie, Cassie, Nathan, Alexandra and Bradley. Great Grandpa to Layla, Thomas, Grayson, Bennett, Stefanie and Evan.

Family and close friends will be gathering for a memorial service on September 8, 2015 at 10 a.m., at Horizon Hall, Holland Christian Homes, Brampton, Ontario. There will be a reception with refreshments following the service.

Many family members are comforted by recalling Dad’s enthusiasm as he sang the refrain of a favourite hymn: “It is well, it is well, with my soul”
