HELEN SKENDER In Loving Memory June 29, 1928 - May 3, 2014 Passed away peacefully at Brampton Woods. Predeceased by her loving husband Alexander. Helen is survived by her children Marina Reid and Bill. Loving Yia Yia to Anastasia (Grant), Helen and Rosemary. She is adored Pro Yia Yia to Aithan. Born in Spetses, Greece, she founded the family in Canada. For her entire life, Helen was a pillar of strength and wisdom to us all and the foundation of our family. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her vast wit and charm. Friends and family may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd., north of Lawrence Ave. W., on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church at 1 Brookhaven Dr., in Toronto, Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
