Hazel Marett

MARETT, Hazel Annie (nee Fraser) - With deep sorrow, the Marett family announces the passing of our dear mother Hazel on November 14, 2009 at age 95. Loved by John (Shirley Thomson), Jim (Ann), Dorothy Ford, George, Nancy Schaubel (Ron), Susan Sheppard (Steve Firth), Mary Anne Williams (Bob), Glenn (Carla) and Patricia (Steve Couldrey). Predeceased by her beloved sons Thomas and Joseph, husband of 66 years, John Macey Marett and grandchildren Christopher Welsh, Glenn and Caroline Schaubel. Hazel is survived by 25 grandchildren and 42 great- grandchildren, sisters Mary MacDonald and Joan Strathdee (Bob) and brother Donald Fraser. Our family extends a sincere thank you and much gratitude to the doctors and nurses on Floor 5A, Toronto Western Hospital, for their kindness to family members and the gentle care given to Hazel during her final days. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston, 416-241-4618, on Monday, November 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 1st at 2:30 p.m. in the Ward Chapel.
