Stephenson, Harry Allan “Al” H.A.S
October 20th, 1936- January 1, 2015
With sadness, but with much love and thankfulness for the wonderful life we shared for 47 years, Al passed away on Thursday evening at the age of 78. Cherished husband of Gail nee Smith. He will be sadly missed by his sister Marion (Mal Morrison –deceased), brothers Wallace (Jeanne) and Howard (Mary Jane), his sister and brother in law Pat and Sam Tomlinson and Ann (Barry Smith deceased) nieces and nephews Ralph, Douglas, David, Joanne, Robert, Kelly, David, Julie, Michael and Lindsay. Great nieces and nephews Jessie, Rachel, Maria, Jamie, Sarah, Gwendolyn, Maeve, David, Clinton, Jacob, Madeline, Lucas,Cole, Ryder, Finleigh and Jonathan. And his God sons John Michael and Christopher Durrant. Allan has joined his parents J.H and Ruth Stephenson of Woodbridge and his sister in law Louise and niece Ruth. Retired North York Fire Fighter of 35 years. Faithful member and Elder of Cornerstone Community Church and Woodbridge Horticulture society. He took great pride in his fire service toys, sheep ornaments, hats and neckties and driving for I.H.T., garden, cooking, entertaining and decorating bridges in Woodbridge. He gave away Christmas sausage and old cheese and cherry bread. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7 (just west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, on Monday from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Allan’s life will be held at the Cornerstone Community Church 180 Nashville Rd. Kleinburg on Tuesday at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, remember Al by showing love and acts of kindness to friends and strangers or by making donations to the Cornerstone Community Church, Ronald McDonald House or Hospice Vaughan.
