It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Haralambos “Bobby” Dourmissis in his 92nd year. Surrounded by the love of his family, he passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024. Haralambos was born in Florina, Greece to Alexandros and Thomai Dourmissis. 

Haralambos was the beloved husband to the late Anastasia for 50 wonderful years. Together they moved to Downsview, Ontario in 1978 to begin their life in Canada. Haralambos will be greatly missed by his children Melpomeni (Konstantinos, predeceased), and Kostas (Dorothy). He was a very proud grandfather to Sofia (Marco), Nicholas, Bobby (Nicole), and Alyssa (Ryan). Doting great grandfather to Daniel, Alexsia, McKenna and Max. He is now reunited with his daughter Aphrodite, and brothers Dimitri and Petros.

Haralambos will be fondly remembered for his sweet, loving demeanor, and his smile and laughter will never be forgotten. He was immensely proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with family and friends whenever he could, always looking forward to their birthdays and family events. In his free time he loved to watch and cheer on the Toronto Maple Leaf’s, and spend time tending to his vast garden.

In memory of Haralambos, donations may be made to Hospice Vaughan, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Lung Association.

Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (1 Brookhaven Drive, Toronto). Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane Street, Concord).
