Hans Kugel

A much loved father and grandfather, Hans Kugel, 89, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday July 27, 2015. After a courageous battle with cancer, Hans joins the love of his life, Agnes Kugel (March 4, 2008).

Hans and Agnes immigrated to Canada from Germany in August of 1957. They settled in Thunder Bay for 45 years where he worked as a skilled automotive mechanic. Hans and Agnes then moved to Oakville to be closer to family. Hans enjoyed and took great pride in his home and especially his garden. He loved to travel and took every opportunity to spend as much time as he could with his family.

Hans will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Gisele and son in law Marvin Maunula; grandchildren Michelle (Mark), Karen (Jeff), Jodie (Todd), Ryan (Jackie); great-grandchildren Brittany, Tanner, Mallory, Makensie, Charlotte, Lily, Scott and Kelsey; as well as many other friends and family in Germany.

A celebration of life will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Ontario on Thursday July 30 at 1:00 pm.
