Gwendoline Taylor

Gwendoline Joan (Chatterton) Taylor; 25 June 1930—15 May 2013
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and excellent friend, Gwen Taylor on May 15th following a brief illness. Born and raised on a farm in Orono, Ontario, Gwen pursued a career in nursing and worked at Sick Children’s Hospital in Toronto before moving to Brampton with her husband, Keith. Gwen’s focused commitment to her family is evidenced in the exceptional commitment, care and love she shared over 10 long years of Keith’s illness. She was predeceased by Keith, her parents, Elsie and Marshall Chatterton and her brother Orville; as well as Keith’s parents Madeline and Ewart Taylor and brother-in-law Don. She leaves behind her daughters Nancy (Roger Burrill) and Bonnie (John Gilchrist); grandchildren Sara, Emma, Peter and Marshall; niece Carol and nephew David. Among many good and life-long friends, she leaves behind her loving friend, Stewart Cornell. Gwen was an amazing woman who had such backbone, endurance and warmth of spirit. We will all miss her. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home ‘Brampton Chapel’, 52 Main Street S (Hwy #10), Brampton on Monday May 20, 2013, 2:00–4:00PM & 7:00–9:00PM. A celebration of Gwen’s life will be held Tuesday May 21, 2013 at St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main Street South, Brampton at 11:00AM. Following a reception in the church hall, interment will follow at Brampton Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to St. Paul’s United Church.
