Gunda Herbst

August 18, 1924 — April 2, 2021

Gunda Herbst

Gunda was born in Germany in Rosenberg Bavaria. She had three other siblings – two brothers and a sister.

After she married Andy, they immigrated to Canada.

Andy worked at the aircraft company that manufactured the famous AVRO airplane.

Gunda and Andy bought a house in Maple Ontario. It was there that she planted over 2000 trees.

Later, they had a house built in the Thistletown area of Toronto and moved there in 1965.

Gunda worked at various stores and eventually she and Andy opened their own health food store.

This is where Gunda was very happy, talking to people, listening to their stores and helping them with their health concerns.

She passed away peacefully at the age of 96. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
