Grazio Zito

After a valiant struggle of five months battling ill health, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Grazio on Wednesday, May 21. Born January 3, 1923, in Montescaglioso Italy to Maddalena and Pietro Zito, he came to Canada with his family in 1959 to build a new future.

Grazio is survived by his loving children Madeline (Paul), Peter (Amalia) and his cherished grandchildren Melina, Simona and Peter. He will be reunited with Filomena, his devoted wife of sixty-two years who passed away suddenly on May 19, 2014.

Grazio lives on in the hearts of his brother-in-laws Rocco, Angelo and Michele and sister-in-law Angela, nieces and nephews and predeceased by his brother Francesco.

The family would like to thank the staff of Etobicoke General Hospital for their kindness and care.

Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge on Friday, May 23 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. A Funeral Mass celebrating both Filomena and Grazio will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 10:00 am at
St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 100 Bainbridge Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment at be held at Glendale Cemetery, 1810 Albion Road, Toronto.
