Grace Cavell Corbin (Payne) nee Whimsett
Born on July 4th, 1919 passed away on October 15th, 2011 at the Trillium Queensway Courtyard after a long and full life. Predeceased by her husband’s Fred Payne (1964) and Peter Corbin (1992). Beloved mother of Orpah Payne (Fred Fisher), Bill Payne (Berry Cecconet) and Lynda Westland (Glenn). Cherished grandmother to Jaclyn Westland, Christie Girdler (Matt) and great grandchildren Evan and Kendra. Dear aunt to Pat Nicholls, Louise Chernuck and Sandra Edmonds. Grace will be sadly missed by her family and friends, especially Mary Sturino of Etobicoke, Bunnie Laidlaw of Barrie and Joan Westlake of Campbellville. A special thanks to Dr. Rosa Leone for all her expert care and compassion for our mom and our family over the years: and to the staff of the continuing care unit for their support during the past year. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 21st, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, 1570 Royal York Road, Weston. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Humane Society would be appreciated.
