Gordon Andrew Hefford
Passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering Hospital encircled by his family and enfolded in their love on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the age of 52. Born to proud parents Selby (Heff) and (the late) Flora Hefford and four adoring sisters, Gordon filled his family with much joy and pride throughout his life. His smile was infectious and his tenacity was inspiring in all areas of life, including his many athletic pursuits. He is remembered as a cherished son, a beloved brother to Carol (John), Margo (Terry), Jane (John) and Gayle (Dan), a devoted uncle to Ryan, Sarah, Heather, Cheryl, David, Andrew, Beth, Aaron, Robbie and Becca, a caring great uncle to 11 great nieces and nephews, as well as a beloved nephew and cousin to many. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Sunday, August 5th from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Grandravine Special Hockey, Special Olympics Ontario and Down Syndrome Toronto, or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Following the service everyone is invited to join the family for a reception at the Ward Funeral Home.
