GOLDIE GWENDOLINE CARRUTHERS NIXON It is with sadness that the family of Goldie Nixon announces her passing on Thursday, January 7, 2010 in her 101st year. She was a gentle, humorous and dynamic woman who lived a full and rewarding life. Goldie will be most remembered by all who knew her for her dignity and her strength of character. Goldie was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter and her loving sons John and Paul, her cherished daughter-in-law June and her great-grandson Kevin. She is survived by her devoted daughter Mary (Robert Hissink), caring daughter-in-law Bonnie, grandchildren Linda, Barbara, Karen, Judy, John, Matthew, Mark, Robyn, Lindsay, David, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great- granddaughter. Cremation has taken place. A small service will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 4 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville.
