Gloria Rose

It’s with great sadness that the family of Gloria Rose (nee Peru), late of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, announces her passing in the early hours of November 23, 2017 at the age of 79 years.

Gloria was born to James and Beatrice Peru in Kingston Jamaica and immigrated to Canada in 1987; initially to Scarborough, Ontario, Canada then to Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Gloria was a devoted wife and mother. Gloria was an avid gardener and as she did with her plants, she cultivated deep relationships with all who knew her.

Gloria will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years Vernon; her children, Sharon Cooke (Rupert) , Adele Wallace (Lascelles), Symonie Williams (Frank), Sharon Reid (Gary), and Opal Halsall (Daymond). Gloria will also be fondly remembered by her siblings Ivy, Lloyd, and Patricia; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and all those whose lives she enriched. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, sisters Veronica and Icilda, her daughter Janet, and her son Desmond.

Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 52 Main Street South(Hwy 10) on Friday, December 1, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 9:00. A Funeral Service will be held at the Ward Funeral Home on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Michael Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowvale Cemetery, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, ON.As expressions of sympathy, donations to Trillium Health Partners Foundation or the planting of a memorial tree which can be found on the Book Of Memories.
