Gloria Mary Fenton

Fenton, Gloria Mary (May 13, 1929 - June 11th, 2024).

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gloria (Glo) Fenton on June 11th, 2024, in her 96th year. Glo was born in Cullybackey Northern Ireland to Martha and John McCready, she is predeceased by her older brother James McCready and survived by her younger sister Phyllis Bruner. She is also survived by her husband William Fenton with whom she emigrated to Canada with in 1948 to start their family and establish her legacy. She was mother to children Brian, Linda (Noel), Steven (Carol), Garry (Charlotte) and Greg (Kathy). Grandmother to Scott, Laura, Chelsea, Jack, and Grace and great grandmother to Lexy and Lucas.

Gloria loved gardening and caring for her home, to the point that people would stop their cars to comment on her gardens. Over the years she worked part time for Eaton’s and Sears. She managed the family’s finances to the penny and always ensured her family lived well. She will always be remembered for her love of music, animals, her sense of humour, and being the life of the party.

Visitation will be at Ward Funeral Home - Weston Chapel on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, 7:00 - 9:00 pm (EDT). The memorial service will be held Ward Funeral Home - Weston Chapel Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 10:30 - 11:30 am (EDT)
