Colin, Gloria (nee Chiavatti)

Passed away on April 21st, 2015 and now reunited with her late husband of 50 years, Romano. Loving mother of Frank, Christine (Christopher) and Mary Ann. Adored grandma to Stephen and Thomas. Sister of Joseph, Ledia (Lino), Frances, and Paul (Stephanie). Predeceased by her sister Tina and sister-in-law Margaret. Gloria spent her life helping others. She took pride in holding fundraising events throughout her life for charities dear to her heart. Gloria received many accolades for her efforts, including an award from The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, permanent tributes in her honour at Sick Kids Hospital and Humber River Regional Hospital, a certificate for long-time service from the Canadian Cancer Society, and a nomination to the Order of Canada. She was an inspiration.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Saturday from 7-9p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2 Richardson Ave., Toronto at 9:30a.m.
Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
