Giuseppe Tersigni

Its with great sadness that to announce the passing of Giuseppe Tersigni on April 15, 2020 at Humber River Hospital.
Originally from Sora, Lazio Italy, he came to Canada in 1952 with wife Ermelinda and started the Tersigni family in Toronto. Giuseppe was a skilled carpenter and worked hard to make ends meet for his young growing family. From truly humble beginnings driven by his great passion, love and commitment to raising 5 children: Vincenza, Jane, Domenic, Marcello, Rosalba, that all married and had kids and grand kids, Giuseppe got to see this family get to 45 all in. He came from a large family and he wanted to make sure that none of his children had to endure the difficulties he had while growing up. He loved his wife, family and faith immensely, enjoyed watching soccer, playing cards and spending his day in the garden, he always saw the beauty in everything and everyone and was a great story teller. Giuseppe lived till 92 1/2, his final months were spent at Weston Terrace Nursing Home due to his advanced Alzheimer’s

He is survived by his wife Ermelinda (nee Cecatini), his brothers Antonio(Eba) TonyCappuccitti (Barbara), his sisters Santina, Maria, Dora (Anthony) Predeceased by his brother Loreto(Gilda).

He will be dearly missed by his son and daughter in-laws Eric, Walter, Marlene, Gina and James, his 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren

From all your kids, we are hoping that the heavens have created a special place for you as you did for us, you will be sorely missed as you touched everyone with your beautiful heart, charming smile and complimentary ways. RIP Giuseppe, Joe, Nonno Joe, Pipinello and what we all call you Daddy
