It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donato Giuseppe “Pino” Pellegrino on September 4, 2024 at the age of 97. Pino was born on March 5, 1927 in Squinzano, Lecce, Italy to Giovanna and Santo Giuseppe. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Ada of 65 wonderful years as well as his daughter Franca. He will be missed dearly by his children Mauro (Lisbeth), Giovanna (Fernando), and Nadia, his son-in-law Tony, his grandchildren Laura, Matthew, Emily, Michael, Giancarlo, and Joseph, and greatgrandchildren Jersey, Brooks, and Cobe.

Pino touched many hearts through his jovial demeanor and loved to joke with his family and friends. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed spending his spare time reading, writing poems and novellas, and cheering on his favourite soccer team, Napoli.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pino's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

The funeral service will take place in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. 

Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

Reception to follow at Ward Funeral Home.
