Giuseppe Mario Nervo

 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Giuseppe Mario Nervo in his 99^th year.  Mario, as he was known to all, was born in Loria di Treviso, Italy on November 21, 1925 and immigrated to Canada in October 1951 to start a new life. Mario was a skilled bricklayer and, together with his wife of 69 years, built a life together raising their three daughters in Toronto. While embracing their new home they passed along their own beloved traditions from Italy which are carried on to this day by his children and grandchildren.  Mario enjoyed his wine, soccer and tomato garden.

Mario leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Romana, and their three children Luisa (Andre), Laura (predeceased) (John) and Sandra (Peter).  Mario was a proud Nonno to Alexandra (Nick), David, Sara and Gianluca.  Mario is predeceased by his sisters Angela, Pierina and Cesira, brother-in-law to Gina (predeceased), Domenico and Norina (predeceased) and Zio to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all and never forgotten.

Friends are welcome to The Ward Funeral Home (Weston Chapel) on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm.   A Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Church.  Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humber River Health Hospital.
