Giuseppe "Joe" Marino

With sadness yet profound gratitude for a long and fulfilled life we share that Giuseppe Marino passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side January 9, 2025.

His greatest joy and achievement was his family. Husband to Lucia for 59 years. Loving father to Vince (Sabina), Julia (Justin) & Christina (Domenic).  Proud nonno to Olivia Lucia, Joseph Francis, Jacqueline Eve, Sophia Karen, Victoria Eden, Caroline Elizabeth, Vincent & Juliette. 

If the definition of a life well lived is to have loved and been loved then his was surely the best of lives. Joe will live on through the lives and hearts of his cherished family and friends.

Born August 26, 1940 in Serra San Bruno; Calabria Italy to Vincenzo Marino & Concetta Cutulle. He immigrated to Canada in March of 1959 to start a new and prosperous life.

He was a proud licensed plumber; a member of UA Local 46 for over 50 years. He worked for various companies over the years and made lasting impressions on many employers and apprentices.

His love language was sharing his homemade wine, asking if you ate, squeezing your face & kissing your cheek, sharing a story, asking about the grandchildren, sharing a dance, giving advice, reminiscing about Italy, and crying happy tears. He’d say “I’m too happy”.

May it bring you comfort to know Heaven has gained an angel. Forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13th, 2025 at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, January 14th at 11:00 am in the Ward Chapel.
