Giuseppe Giraudi

Giuseppe Giraudi died Monday, January 26th. He died peacefully in his home after a brave battle with liver cancer.

Born December 13th, 1928, Giuseppe emigrated from Italy to Canada in 1956. He sponsored the rest of his family and they all joined him here. He was a printer all of his working life. First running the family printing shop in Cairo Montenote, then in Toronto, working at many printing houses until he retired. He passionately pursued many hobbies; politics, his beloved model railroad, wine making, and an impressive classic science fiction collection. A voracious reader until his final days, he had something to add to virtually any topic of conversation.

He is survived by his wife Elisabetta, his sisters, Ortensia, Virginia, Luisa and Anita, his children Albert, Eugenia, Alex and Lawrence and his grandchildren Sabetta, Louise Julia, Isabella, Christopher, Joey and Nick.
