Giuseppe Figliano

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Giuseppe Figliano, known to many as Uncle Joe & Zio Peppe di Torino. Giuseppe passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 in his 94th year. Giuseppe was born to Carmelo & Rosaria Figliano in Italy, on February 20, 1929.

Beloved husband of Maria married 62 years. Cherished father of Carmelo (Teresa), Vincenzo & Umberto (Sandy). Devoted grandfather of Verona, Joel, Justin, Ryan, Mary & Robert. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, nieces & nephews.

Giuseppe lived a full life, touched many lives, and created countless happy memories that will live fondly in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. A family man, who was always happy, often considered the joker in the group. His kindness spilled onto all that he did. Those who knew him would attest to his charismatic personality, he would often be found singing beautiful Italian songs in the home. He would watch any sport from The Leafs to The Jays and of course Italian soccer. Giuseppe treasured his children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them, family dinners were an especially important time. He lived each day to its fullest and represented all that is good in life. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved him.

Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church (8500 Islington Ave. Woodbridge) Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. with entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd, Etobicoke). Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
