Giuseppe Aretusi

Saturday, February 12, 1921 – Thursday, July 30, 2020

It is with profound sadness that the family of Giuseppe Aretusi announces his passing on Thursday, July 30, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife, Maria and parents, Luigi and Filomena and his brother Giovanni and wife Ovidia. He will be dearly missed by his nephews and niece and their children. Luigi (Grace, Jonathan & Olivia), Paul (Domenica, John-Paul, Elisabeth + Paul, & Domenic + Chantel), Marino (Kathy, Eric & Alana) and Amalia (Lou, Anthony & Christina).

Giuseppe was born in Alanno, Province de Pescara, Italy. He served in the air force in the second world war. Later, he sailed to Canada in the 1950s, where Giuseppe worked on building the hydroelectric dam in Niagara Falls. Soon after, he moved to Toronto and was hired by the city of Toronto where he worked until his retirement. We would like to thank Villa Columbo where Giuseppe resided the last few years of his life. A special thank you to Dr. DiCarlo, Devi, and Aida for their constant care and dedication.

May God grant Giuseppe eternal rest. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity Alzheimer’s or Lou Garrett would be greatly appreciated.
