Girolamo 'Jerry" Meleca

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Girolamo Meleca while surrounded by his family; on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the age of 81. Beloved husband to Anna Maria Meleca for 57 years of marriage. Loving father of Nadia (Carmine) and Marc (Kimberlee) and (the late Danny) and cherished grandfather to Mark, Michelle, Nicole and Jacob. Dear brother to the late Sam (Assunta), the late Joe (Maria), Romeo (the late Anita), Mike (Pina), Maria (Joe), Mario (Anna), Fred (Hugette), Gino and Rosa (Tulio). His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Jerry was a hard working and dedicated family man. He enjoyed a successful career as part of the family business “Impero Hair Design”. He also enjoyed fun times with his family at the cottage in the Muskoka’s. When Jerry became ill; his battle was not his to fight alone as Anna soldiered along with him, further solidifying the vows spoken almost 60 years ago - through sickness and in health. Jerry was the life of any party; he will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by a multitude of family and friends. Visitation will take place at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway #7, Woodbridge) on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Padre Pio Church (5500 Major Mackenzie Drive West, Kleinburg) on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
