It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giovanni (John) Madio in his 81st year. God called John home on February 15th 2022 surrounded by his family.
He is now reunited in heaven with his wife Rosaria who he was devoted to for 46 years. John was a man who loved God and his family, and was always willing to lend a hand when called upon. Gardening and painting brought John many days of happiness.
Loving father to Pino (Teri), Dave (Sabrina), Mark (Marilena), and Lorenzo.
Adoring Nonno to Jordana, Nathan, Johncarlo, Ava, Alexander, Jenna, Maya, and Ella.

Loving brother to Lina (John), Vince ( the late Mary), Sam (Angela), Julian
(Cathy), and Dina (Domenic).
Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be held dear in the hearts of many relatives and friends both in Canada and in Italy.

John will be remembered as a gentle man who always had a smile on his face.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 4-9 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held on Saturday February 19, 2022 at Ossington Pentecostal Church 686 Ossington Ave., Toronto at 10:30 a.m. A private family entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to Ossington Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
