Giovanni Lino Martin passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 5, 2020 at 3:15 pm from glioblastoma cancer.
Beloved and caring husband to the late Concetta Martin. Cherished father to Pietro, Giuseppina (the late Chris Zorbakis) and Gabriella (Jean Sebastian Leroux). Wonderful grandfather to Elisabeth, Michael, Anthony, Matheo and Sebastian.
Giovanni is remembered as a genuine man with upmost integrity, a kind and sincere heart, a religious loyalty and a positive vibrant nature. He had a witty sense of humour and the most wonderful smile. Among his many passions were family, gardening, remodeling, opera music, traveling and the outdoors.
The youngest boy in a family of ten siblings, he left his home and family in Castelfranco, Veneto to start a new life in Canada where he met the most beautiful Sicilian woman, Concetta and together they left a legacy of love in their children and all those who knew them.
We will forever treasure him with heavy but grateful hearts. God has blessed us with the most beautiful gift of love which now resides in countless heartfelt joyous memories until we all meet again.
