COSSARINI, Giovanni.
Passed peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at the age of 92. Giovanni is survived by his cherished wife, Barbara Cossarini (nee Oxford), of 65 years. Loving father to Linda Benson (Barry), Sandra Bennett (Rick), and Jack (Sandra). Giovanni will be remembered as a proud Nonno to Melissa (Zolt), Jason, Kristin (Mario), Ryan, Laura (Matthew), Jaclyn, and Grace; and Bisnonno to Aria, Olivia, Giada, Alexis, and Vera. Giovanni will be fondly remembered by his brother, Danilo (Rose), and sister, Dolores (Sergio).

Giovanni was born in San Giovanni di Casarsa, Pordenone, Italy on December 16, 1929, and immigrated to Canada in 1953. Known for his love of singing, sports, and his family, Giovanni’s kind and passionate spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7 in Vaughan on Friday, December 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Roch’s Catholic Church, 2889 Islington Ave., in Toronto. Interment to follow.
