Gino Morelli

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gino Pasquale Morelli, a devoted husband to Elena Morelli, loving father to Rosella Del Riccio and son-in-law Rosario Del Riccio and proud grandfather to Nolan Del Riccio. He passed away, on Wednesday September 11th, 2024, at the golden age of 93.

He was born on January 08, 1931 in Frosinone Italy, to Rosa and Pietro Morelli. At a young age, he lived for a brief period of time in France and then relocated back to Italy. He married, Elena, on Dec. 12, 1970, in Casalvieri Italy and shortly after they immigrated to Toronto Canada. He began work as a general tradesman and for a short time, he was a residential home developer and eventually retired as a bricklayer. 

He had a passion for cycling and enjoyed participating in junior cyclist tours, in his younger years and even dreamed of joining the Tour de France. He was a resilient man who never gave up in the face of a challenge and fought right up to his final hour on earth. He will always be admired and remembered as an astute, clever and caring man.

Throughout his life, Gino’s greatest joy was his family. His unconditional love for them knew no bounds. His true happiness in life was his family; even up until the last few days of his life, where he still managed to smile when they were around him. 

As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that he led a full life and is now at peace.
